Artist's Comments
This is the first all pencil/charcoal pencil work I've done in about 8 yrs. Usually I use mostly charcoal and very little graphite in a drawing, this time I did the opposite. This also took a little longer than normal...about 7 days instead of my 2-3 days.
This is a portrait of the very beautiful Billie Piper. Materials used: *Mechanical pencil-2H, HB, 2B and regular pencil- 4B, 7B, 8B (and for the shirt only-charcoal pencil) *tissue, Q-tip, blending stump, spongit sticks *kneaded eraser, eraser pencil (I bloody love this thing), stick eraser This is Approx. 9 x 11 inches on strathmore sketchbook paper. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
